I don’t want to write a substack

It feels like no one really knows what to do right now, but nobody wants to admit it.

I woke up this morning in the fear track again, and have been working hard to get into the love groove. I want to help. I want to be successful. I want to maintain a sense of hope and the feeling of optimism — that everything really is going to be ok.

So why does everything feel so fucked up? Or is that really just the world around me refracted through the internet and the feed that’s shown to me based on the intimate psychological data that’s pretty much accessible to the highest bidder?

I am launching a thing. It’s my heart-thing. But so is everybody else and their grandma. How do I opt-out of all of it, but still be successful? How can I still get my message to the people who really need it right now, but who are so numbed by the constant sludge of content rolling past their eyes at every conceivable moment.

What even is the point in writing this when no one is going to read it. If a blogger writes a post but no one reads it, did they really write it at all?

Slow down. One thing at a time.
